Imparando Academy and Next Generation Keeper have started a unique collaboration between Italy and Canada offering students at both Goalkeeper schools an incredible experience where Sports and Culture meet. It all started when the directors of both schools, Matteo Bonavolonta and Stefano Troiani from Imparando Academy and Emanuele Ameltonis from NextGKschool met for the first time at the Christmas event “Parate Sotto l’ Albero” organised by Imparando Academy in 2015 in Rome. The main feature of this long-lasting and successful collaboration is the fact that we share the same training methodology and the same game philosophy, even if the two schools are located thousands of kilometers away from each other.

Both schools are united by the same concept of the goalkeeping world. Since the beginning of 2017, Matteo and Emanuele have had the opportunity to work together and learn from each other by participating in school events both in Canada and in Italy and continue to pursue this ambitious project.
Our students have been offered an incredible opportunity to play football with coaches and goalkeepers from different cultures and countries and at the same time visit another country while doing the thing they love the most i.e. playing soccer!
A life experience that helps our goalkeepers open their minds to the world and broaden their horizons on the future.

1st International Rome Goalkeeper Camp, organized by ImParando Academy of Rome with headquarters at the Mancini Park Hotel in collaboration with the Next generation Keepers from Toronto.
Matteo Bonavolontà and Emanuele Ameltonis , Directors of the goalkeeping schools, professional coaches and former professional goalkeepers summarised this camp dedicated entirely to goalkeepers as :
“We are proud to say that we have fully achieved all the goals set at the beginning of the Camp.
A blend of unique emotions thanks to a technical and cultural exchange between athletes from Canada and Italy together with a number of girls from the North American football championships.
We started this project two years ago and since then there has always been a continuous exchange of ideas, techniques and field initiatives during all our internships both in Toronto and in Rome.
During these two years we have flown over the ocean to participate in camps organized by both schools, leading the way for this unique collaboration.
During the week , the goalkeepers trained on the field followed by a large staff from Italy, Canada, America and Australia, training all aspects of the goalkeeping daily.
The distinction of this initiative lies in sharing the same philosophy and guidelines for this project, despite the countries being divided by thousands of kilometers. We feel close to the working culture through an ethical and behavioural code respected by all of us. We care about very important aspects for these age groups, including coordination, dexterity, technique and last but not least, the psychological aspect whose role requires so much attention and care.
Italian participants also attended English lessons in the fantastic location of the Mancini Park hotel, which also provided the swimming pool and the gym, while for Canadian students cultural tours were organized in the eternal city of Rome. In fact, they also got the chance to attend the Roma-Atalanta match at the Olympic stadium.
We are already working on visiting other continents in order to introduce our philosophy of the Italian goalkeeping school. This role requires competence, professionalism, commitment and most of all continuous comparison, useful for growing and improving in sport and in life! ”
